How do I add a product?

Tap the "+" button on the Cooldowns tab. You can add a product three ways:

Photo: Take a photo of the product or choose a screenshot from your library. Our AI will identify the product automatically.

Link: Paste a product URL from any online store.

Describe: Type or dictate a description of what you want to buy.

How does the cooldown work?

When you add a product, a cooldown timer starts (24, 48, or 72 hours — you choose). During this time, BuyBlock's AI researches the product in the background.

When the timer ends, you'll get a notification. Open the app to see the full AI research report, then decide: buy it or skip it.

The idea is simple: by the time the cooldown ends, the impulse fades and you make a rational decision with actual data.

What's included in the AI report?

Each AI research report can include:

Price analysis — is this a good price? Price history context and where to find it cheaper.

Review synthesis — pros and cons from real user reviews.

Cost-per-use — what this product actually costs per use over its lifetime.

Alternatives — similar products that might be better or cheaper.

Secondhand options — availability on resale marketplaces.

Verdict — buy, skip, or wait for a better deal.

What's the difference between Free and Pro?

Free: 1 AI scan per month, cooldown timer for all items, buy/skip tracking.

Pro ($4.99/month or $39.99/year): 30 AI scans per month, full research reports with price analysis, savings dashboard, and spending insights.

You can add items and use the cooldown timer on the free tier — the AI scan limit only applies to the research reports.

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed through Apple. To cancel or change your plan:

1. Open your device's Settings app

2. Tap your name (Apple ID) at the top

3. Tap Subscriptions

4. Find BuyBlock and tap to manage

You can cancel anytime. You'll continue to have access until the end of your current billing period.

How do I delete my account?

You can delete your account from within the app:

1. Go to the Settings tab

2. Scroll down and tap Delete Account

3. Confirm the deletion

This permanently deletes all your data including items, reports, and preferences. If you have an active subscription, make sure to cancel it first in your device Settings.

Is my data safe?

Yes. Your data is stored securely in Google Cloud (Firebase) with encryption in transit and at rest. We use Firebase Security Rules to ensure only you can access your data, and Firebase App Check to prevent unauthorized access.

I found a bug. How do I report it?

We appreciate bug reports! Email us at support@buyblock.app with:

1. What you were doing when the issue occurred

2. What you expected to happen

3. What actually happened

4. A screenshot if possible

5. Your device model and iOS version

Can I request a refund?

Since payments are processed by Apple, refunds must be requested through Apple's system. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com to submit a refund request.
